In 2012 Redwood helped Custora, a small tech company, find a suitable space at 1133 Broadway. Originally occupying 966 square feet Custora had so much success that within one year they had more than doubled in size and required a new space. As we had worked with Custora to find their original space we were happy to help them find a new home. The problem of relocating was two-fold. On one hand we had to find them a new space to accommodate their growth and on the other hand we had to sublease their current space so that they would not be stuck with two locations and paying two rents.
We looked at lots of buildings for Custora before finding a suitable 2,500 square foot space at 41 West 25th Street. Since growth was still a concern a shorter term of 2 years was negotiated to allow for flexibility.
Once we had negotiated terms at 45 West 25th Street and had lease in-hand Redwood took on the task of finding a suitable sub-tenant for their current location. Within a delicate and demanding time-line Redwood marketed, fielded multiple offers, and helped execute a sublease allowing Custora to relocate with a clean slate.
